10/40: From Automobile to Art

"WE WON'T KEEP YOU, SORRY"

This is the sentence that started it all.

At the time, we were two colleagues at a Parisian car dealership: Antoine was on an internship, me on a work-study program. Then the fateful moment came. There was only one place for two. Antoine stayed, but I didn't.

But after a year of working on projects together, the idea of stopping everything was unthinkable. We had to keep going. 10/40 was born from this desire.

FROM AUTOMOBILE TO ART: A NATURAL EVOLUTION

Antoine came up with the name. 10W40 engine oil is a universal symbol for car enthusiasts. Originally, 10/40 was a project dedicated to vintage cars, their history, and their aesthetics, without necessarily delving into technology and mechanics.

On August 7, 2023, we launched an Instagram account and published our first automotive archive. But over time, something changed.

We understood that what really drove us was not only the automobile, but the meetings, the exchanges, the passion that unites creators, whatever their field . Art, design, illustration… universes that have always attracted us. So, we evolved 10/40.

Today, our mission is clear: to put humanity back at the center of artistic creation .

A 2.0 ART GALLERY FOR CREATORS

We wanted to create a space where artists can focus on what matters most: creating .

At 10/40, we simplify the sale of artwork . Graphic designers, illustrators, and artists submit their creations, and we handle everything else: printing, framing, shipping, and more. A simple, fair, and transparent model. With each sale, they receive a fair compensation, without logistical constraints.

Our commitment goes further: we only work with passionate people . Printers, logisticians, accountants… Every member of 10/40 shares this common desire to promote creativity and support artists.

BRING YOUR PASSION TO LIFE

We were fortunate enough to turn our passion into a project. Today, we want to enable others to do the same.

10/40 is more than an online gallery. It's a community that supports creators, a launchpad for talent, a place where art meets its audience without unnecessary intermediaries.

And that's just the beginning.

Join us. Discover our artists. Share their world.
