OUR HISTORY

Lucas Morandière and Antoine Caillol, founders of 10/40

"WE WON'T KEEP YOU, SORRY"

It was on this sentence that the 10/40 project was born. With Antoine, we worked together at a Parisian car dealership, he was doing an internship, me on a work-study program. The time came to find out who would be hired, but there was only one place for two. And Antoine was the one chosen. A year of working and setting up projects together, and it was supposed to end a few weeks later. But it was too stupid, we had to continue working together. So, we decided to set up a project: 10/40.

The name comes from Antoine: what could be more universal than engine oil to bring together car enthusiasts? But the project had been brewing in my head for a few months already. I wanted to launch a project that resembled me, that of a collector's car enthusiast on their historical and aesthetic aspects without being specific on technique and mechanics. And on August 7, 2023, I opened the Instagram account and published the first car archive. The project has evolved a lot, but today, we are proud to present to you what 10/40 has become.

PASSION AND HUMANITY

Our project, initially focused on automotive passion, will gradually detach itself from this environment to have a more universal side. The thing we want to keep is the human relationships we have with other enthusiasts. Over the course of our human experiences, we have formed links with many people in this environment and we intend to continue to do so throughout the life of 10/40.

Whether it's with our printer, our logistician, our accountant and of course the artists. We make a point of collaborating with passionate people who have heart to allow this project to see the light of day and change the lives of hundreds of creators across the world.

BRINGING THESE PASSIONS TO LIFE

With 10/40, we want to allow all enthusiasts to share their knowledge and know-how. We are lucky to practice a passionate profession and our wish is to allow as many people as possible to live from their passion.

This is why we aim to create a platform that allows graphic designers to market their works more easily with fair remuneration. We are actively working on this project so that it can see the light of day in the coming months.
